A Beautiful Day for an Open House
This week we held a networking event as suggested by one of our generous clients! She opened her house to over 45 people to showcase the work we did in her kitchen...

Before the tours we had lunch...

Missing in Action:
- The Punch Table (Yummy Creamsicle Schnapps Punch and a Refreshing Champagne Drink)
- Delicious Risotto & Cheese Balls
- Dessert Table (Heaping Fruit Platter with Individual Tiramisu Dishes)

KITCHEN TOUR TIME:

Everyone was loving how well thought-out the design was!
Organization was key in this kitchen! The third drawer down was her "junk" drawer but I don't think the sign stopped people from snooping! :)
Our wood cutlery dividers are made to fit snuggly inside the drawer.
This drawer is designed to take the knife block off the countertop!
We designed this custom paper towel holder drawer specifically for our client. She loves it and we will most likely use it again! The back divider is adjustable to accommodate extra towel rolls or microwave dishes etc.
Over the fridge is a great place to line up cookie trays and store high vases for easy access.
We finished the corner with custom overlay pieces instead of typical fillers to add a special design element.
We decreased the depth of the cabinets over the fridge to prevent bumping your head when leaning over to work in the sink. (Instead of the typical way of raising the upper sink cabinet)
Not your typical pantry. Re-configuring the doors and drawers added more functional space and gave it a custom look.
Charlie loves the bottom cabinet that was designed especially for him!
By making all three drawers the same height you can't tell that this unit is actually much higher than kitchen height to accommodate a built-in radiator in the back!
We also gave our client a "secret drawer" inside to hide her paperwork from nosy guests.
Our client wanted a very understated countertop so we chose the Oakhampton design from Cambria but added a chiseled edge on the peninsula to add a little flare.
The backsplash was a hit! Everyone loved it and no one expected it to be above the cabinets as well! Beautiful look!
We were promoting that if you still love your cabinets, we can update your kitchen by changing the countertops and backsplash!! So, we gave away cheese/cutting boards by Cambria as the event door prizes!

What a fabulous day! I'm glad we were able to share it with you!

If you know of anyone looking for a new kitchen or an updated countertop please give them our name! www.TheCabinetStudio.ca

Thank you in advance, Leigh & Tereza
